I am wondering since light is a particle and wave isnt it possible to make a antenna to receive the energy in light?

Everything in the universe is based on 2 things: physics and psychology. (some would even say psychology is just very complex chemical reactions, where chemistry is just the physics of atomic an molecular ineractions)

The old question what was first, the chicken or the egg has a solution. The chicken was first! how come? if we start with how life and animals evolved we start with single cell organisms which reproduce by dividing themselves. so no egg. over the eons these organisms develop and at some point the organism must have, through some mutation, started to reproduce by "laying an egg" or some other type of system to reproduce without dividing directly to a fully grown organism.

I was just wondering if all the CO2 in the atmosphere is reducing the O2 level? since we are burning all the fossil fuel that was emprissoned for millions of years it binds with O2 that was not burried.

The days where 1 single type of fuel are over, it is not possible to have 1 single fuel (ex gasoline) but we must diversify and everybody has to choose among a few possibilities. there simply is not enough of 1 fuel for everybody. and relying on 1 fuel alone will make us dependant on 1 single fuel. Diversity makes us less dependant on 1 source.

Everybody only speeks about CO2 responsible of the global warming, but what about the other factors? Like Methane, it is 20 times worse than CO2 and Nitrous oxide even more than 200 times. Anyway CO2 is in direct relation to the fuel combusted. Burning a certain amount of fuel will always produce the same amount of CO2. Dont forget about all the methane trapped under the sea as burning ice or in the permafrost which both may be released when thawed..

Is there no better way to transform heat into motion or directy into electricity than evaporating (drink?)water and then turning a turbine connected to a generator? what is the efficiency of this? all the rest steam and heat contained within is wasted. how about a sterling motor? or peltier elements? or other system? maybe some sort of solarcell-like "thermocell" ? there must be some way to exploit low thermal differences.

In my opinion in the future we will have to concentrate and spend much more time and effort on optimizing everything. Energy consumption, material usage and so on, of everything.

By how much will the sealevel rise if the water gets 1 degree warmer? Just like a thermometer water also expands by temperature. did anyone figure this out? Another question: by how much will the sealevel drop if all land below sealevel is flooded?

Today you get ultra high output LEDs with one very narrow color spectrum. I dont know much about solarcells but isnt there a way to reverse engineer LEDs to make solarcells that very efficiently transform one very specific spectrum or bandwidth to electricity. something like the Foveon photochip that is multilayer.

A few years ago I figured out some formulas to plot airfoil shapes based on basic math formulas such as parabols, hyperbols, sine, cosine, ellipse and so on. I figure aerodynamics should follow some basic physics. Ok nowadays airfoils are developed differently. wondering if my foils are any good.

Quite a while ago I figured out a wing geometry I wonder if it was any aerodynamic advantages. An ellipse shape has the perfect stall features, ANd as tested on the X29 forward sweaped wings allow a higher angle of attack. What happens if you deform a ellipse by a Cosine curve? I think it is an interesting shape. a mix of forward and backward sweep.

Just wondering if there is a need to build a super lifting helicopter, something like the Mil V12, I was more thinking of taking 2 Mil Mi26 and combine them to something like a Chinook but stripped down to the minimum like the Sikorsky CH54. Or if that is not enough take 4 rotors..

I find a blimp would be the perfect platform to make a local surveillance system, these days a manned or unmanned system for anti-pirates surveillance would be ideal. I like blimps and in this case it has all the advantages, low or high altitude, practically unlimited airtime, can be parked in the air. eventually make many blimps to form a network. An airplane is always moving and can only stays airborne a limited time.

I wonder why big oil plattforms dont have a windmill on top for power generation. This would save a lot of cables. I suppose there is plenty of wind, just like offshore windmill power generation parks. Or is there some other reason?
